The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing engineering solutions for various projects within the energy and utilities sector. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD and a strong understanding of engineering principles. You would have the opportunity to be trained and mentored by senior level designers within the organization. Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D and 3D designs and drawings using AutoCAD for various energy and utility projects.
- Convert existing 2-D standards drawings, schematics, control line diagrams to 3-D intelligent drawings.
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure designs meet project specifications and timelines.
- Perform technical calculations and analysis to support design decisions and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
- Conduct design reviews and ensure all designs adhere to quality and safety standards.
- Communicate with internal clients to understand their requirements and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Computer Engineering or certificate from an AutoCAD program
- 0-3 years of experience in design engineering, within the energy and utilities sector is a plus
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Experience with other design software such as SolidWorks or Revit is a plus.
- Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience in managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
